PRIMARY & SECONDARY PACKAGING

Primary Packaging is considered the outer packaging material in our industry - it may be corrugated cartons, tape products, mailing tubes or mailers. Basic primary packaging needs are certainly important, but focusing on secondary packaging (the packaging materials that go inside), is just as important.

Packing your item properly with secondary packaging plays a key part in protecting against damage during shipment. The design of the package is to withstand the normal shipping cycles of a UPS or FedEx for example. At PDS, we have many years experience working with customers to reduce both their primary & secondary packaging costs – yes, reduce! We find that in almost every case, company's are over packing. Why? Because the last guy did it this way.

Simple conditioning of how you are currently packaging your products will lower your overall costs. Contact us today to show you how!
